John KanellitsasExecutive Chair

Mr. Kanellitsas has over 25 years of experience in the investment banking and asset management industries. He co-founded and was a partner at Geologic Resource Partners LLP, where he served as Chief Operating Officer from 2004 to 2014. Prior to Geologic, Mr. Kanellitsas was employed by Idaho-based Sun Valley Gold LLC, and by Morgan Stanley & Co in New York and San Francisco. Mr. Kanellitsas joined Lithium Argentina as a director in 2011, and served as a CEO until the company’s merger with Western Lithium in September 2015. He assumed his role of Executive Vice Chair of Lithium Argentina before assuming his current position at Lithium Argentina. Mr. Kanellitsas holds a mechanical engineering degree from Michigan State University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of California in Los Angeles.

Sam PigottExecutive Director President and CEO

Mr. Pigott has approximately 20 years of experience in mining, lithium, capital markets, business development and finance. He joins Lithium Argentina from Ganfeng Lithium, where he has led the International Business Development group for the past six years. Before joining Ganfeng in 2018, he worked in several financial and investment banking institutions in a variety of senior roles. He holds a Master of Business Administration from Oxford University and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and History from McGill University. Mr. Pigott currently resides in Toronto, Canada.

George IrelandLead Independent Director

Mr. Ireland has over 40 years of experience in the mining and metals industry in positions ranging from field geologist to banking and venture capital. He founded Geologic Resource Partners in 2004, and serves as Chief Investment Officer and CEO. From 2000 to 2004 he was General Partner of Ring Partners LP, a predecessor investment partnership to GRP. From 1993 to 2000 Mr. Ireland was an analyst for and a partner in Knott Partners LP, where he specialized in resource investing. Prior to 1993, he held a variety of positions at Cleveland-Cliffs Inc., Chase Manhattan Bank, ASARCO Inc., and VenturesTrident LP. He also serves on the boards of Amerigo Resources Ltd., Heliostar Metals Corp., and Merrill & Ring Inc., a private timber company in the United States.

Diego Lopez CasanelloDirector

Mr. Casanello served as Chief Executive Officer of Arysta LifeScience Corp., a global agricultural chemicals manufacturer, from 2016 to 2019, and following its sale in 2018 to UPL Ltd., as President and Chief Operating Officer of UPL from 2019 to 2021. He has been Managing Partner of Vidavo Ventures, a venture capital firm since March 2022, and Executive Advisor to the New Mountain Capital LLC private equity firm since June 2021. Mr. Casanello began his career at chemical giant BAS where he spent 22 years in various executive roles, including Managing Director of BASF Argentina S.A., Senior Vice President Performance Chemicals North America and Senior Vice President Agricultural Products Asia Pacific. He currently serves on the boards of Profile Products LLC and Micropep Technologies Inc. Mr. Casanello holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Hagen in Germany.

DoyleDirector

Mr. Doyle is a Chartered Accountant in South Africa and a Chartered Financial Analyst in Canada. He was formerly Chief Financial Officer of Pan American Silver Corp., a leading producer of silver, from January 2004 until retiring in March 2022. He has served on various boards: Faraday Copper Corp. since April 2022, OreZone Gold Corp. since June 2022, and Maverix Metals Inc. from 2016 until its acquisition by Triple Flag Precious Metals Corp. in 2023. He joined the Lithium Argentina board in 2023. Mr. Doyle holds a bachelor's degree in business science from the University of Cape Town.

Mr. Mignacco is the President of Minera Exar S.A., the operator of the Cauchari- Olaroz project. He was Vice-Chairman of Lithium Americas for the two years prior to its merger with Western Lithium in September 2015, and served as a board member of Lithium Americas before assuming his current position at Lithium Argentina in 2023. Mr. Mignacco holds an honors degree in mining from Universidad Austral, and a Master of Business Administration from San Andres University.

Monica
MorettoDirector

Ms. Moretto is a senior executive in the mining industry who has provided leadership and strategic advice to industry boards and international committees in North America for almost two decades. Currently, she is the Vice President of Sustainability at Pan American Silver Corp. and has done extensive work in diversified portfolios throughout the Americas, including the political regulatory landscape and ESG performance reporting and engagement. She currently chairs the International Social Responsibility committee at the Mining Association of Canada.

Calum MorrisonDirector

Mr. Morrison has over 20 years of mining industry experience, having most recently served as President and CEO at Great Bear Royalties Corp. and Vice President of Business Development and CFO at Great Bear Resources Ltd., until the companies were acquired by Royal Gold Inc. and Kinross Gold Corp. respectively in 2022 for a combined $2 billion. Previously, Mr. Morrison spent several years with Teck Resources Limited in a variety of Corporate Development roles. Mr. Morrison holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Dalhousie University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst in Canada and a Chartered Professional Accountant in British Columbia. Mr. Morrison also serves on the Board of Directors of Snowline Gold Corp.

MeikleExecutive Vice President Corporate Development

Mr. Meikle has over 15 years experience in capital markets and the resource industry. Prior to joining Lithium Americas (now Lithium Argentina) in 2016, Alec was a research analyst at Cormark Securities covering base metals and lithium companies. At Lithium Americas, Alec was responsible for over $2 billion in M&A and financing transactions. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from University of Toronto. Mr. Meikle currently resides in Europe.

Alex ShulgaVice President and Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Shulga is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA-CGA) and a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA, UK). He has over 14 years of experience in the mining sector focusing on financial reporting, compliance, budgeting, financing, business modelling, mergers & acquisitions, tax, and treasury. Mr. Shulga was a senior manager in audit and assurance practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. Currently, Mr. Shulga is a Director and Sponsorship Committee Chair for the Vancouver Chapter of Financial Executives International. He was Vice-President of Finance for Lithium Americas prior to assuming his current role at Lithium Argentina. Mr. Shulga earned an accounting degree and Master of Finance from Taras Shevchenko National University in Kyiv.

Ignacio CelorrioExecutive Vice President Legal Government and External Affairs

Mr. Celorrio has over 25 years of experience counseling international clients in legal and institutional affairs in the mining sector, and has been honored for his excellent service by Chambers & Partners, Best Lawyers, and Who's Who Legal. Through his practice, Mr. Celorrio has engaged with federal and provincial authorities, NGOs, and other civic society participants in every Argentine mining province, as well as with several Canadian and Australian institutions. In addition to belonging to several legal and mining associations, he has been a Board Member of the Argentine Chamber of Mining Entrepreneurs for more than 10 years. He was Executive Vice-President of Latin America for Lithium Americas before assuming his current position with Lithium Argentina. He is currently the Chair of Administrative Law at the University of Argentine Social Museum, and holds degrees from the Argentine Catholic University and Austral University, as well as a law degree from the University of Buenos Aires Law School.

Tom BensonVice President Global Exploration

Dr. Benson received his Ph.D. in volcanology from Stanford University in 2017 for his research on global lithium resources associated with large magma chambers. His research has gained international acclaim, appearing in peer-reviewed publications such as Science and Nature, and covered in a wide variety of media outlets from The Atlantic to Fox News and NPR. Prior to his current position as Vice President of Global Exploration at Lithium Argentina, Dr. Benson was Vice President of Global Exploration at Lithium Americas, Adjunct Assistant Professor at New York University, Research Associate at the American Museum of Natural History, Visiting Scholar at Columbia University, Fulbright Scholar in at the Iceland GeoSurvey, Research Associate at MIT, and undergraduate at Harvard University. Dr. Benson advises exploration efforts at LAR's brine projects in Cauchari-Olaroz and Pastos Grandes and manages the company's greenfield exploration program around the world. He is also actively engaged in peer-reviewed research on the origins of brine, pegmatite, and volcano-sedimentary lithium resources.

Mr. Cherniak joined Lithium Argentina in October 2024 as Vice-President, Legal & Corporate Secretary. He is a corporate and securities lawyer with extensive experience in the mining and resource sector. Prior to joining Lithium Argentina, Mr. Cherniak was Director of Legal and Corporate Secretary for Dakota Gold Corp. Mr. Cherniak began his career at Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP and holds a Juris Doctor from the University of British Columbia and an Honours Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto.

ChiapporiVice President and Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Chiappori is a mechanical engineer with extensive expertise and experience managing complex businesses and projects at national and international levels. Before his eight-year tenure with lithium producer FMC Corp. (now Livent USA Corp.), where he held several senior roles including Global Director of Manufacturing and Supply Chain, Mr. Chiappori was Operations Manager for United Phosphorus Ltd. and managed both construction and industrial operations for Bunge Argentina. He was Vice-President of Lithium Americas' Latin American Operations from July 2022 until October 2023, when he assumed his current role with Lithium Argentina. Mr. Chiappori holds a mechanical engineering degree from Universidad Nacional de la Plata, and a postgraduate degree in management development from the IAE Business School.

Carlos GalliVice President Growth and Innovation

Mr. Galli has more than a decade of experience leading and managing the development of lithium brine operations at multiple projects in Argentina. He has worked as a consultant for SRK Consulting and Norlab, a Jujuy-based company specializing in the study and development of brine processing, and as COO for LSC Lithium, where he focused on the technical development of lithium projects in Salta and Jujuy. He was also the Industrial and General Manager of Operations at ADY Resources' Salar de Rincón. Mr. Galli joined Lithium Americas in 2022 as Senior Director of Human Resources before assuming his current role in 2023. He is responsible for overseeing the technical development and expansion of the Cauchari-Olaroz and Pastos Grandes projects. Mr. Galli holds an industrial engineering degree from the Universidad de Buenos Aires, and a Master of Finance degree from the EUDE Business School in Spain.

Kelly
O'BrienVice President Investor Relations and ESG

Ms. O'Brien worked as a project developer in the energy industry in Boston, Mass., for several years before relocating to Santiago, Chile, where she worked as the Head of Investor Relations for SQM from 2011 to 2023. She assumed her current role with Lithium Argentina in June 2023. Ms. O'Brien holds a Bachelor of Arts from Fordham University and Master of Business Administration from Boston University.
